The laser cladding process realizes metallurgical combination and the coating strength reaches 350MPa, which far exceeds the mechanical bonding of HVOF and low binding force of chrome plating; because most of the powder is melted in space and absorbed more energy, the laser forms a shallower, smaller melt pool on the substrate material, resulting in ultra-fast cooling rates, this imparts a more uniform microstructure to the coating, minimizes residual stress and reduces thermal impact on the substrate, it completely solves the problem of coating failure under high-frequency and high-pressure operation, small heat input, no dilution, no pores, no cracks, and adapts to more complex operating environments.
